Sue-Shane Tsomondo is a Zimbabwean YYC-based poet, writer and founder of Sue’s Stokvel. Sue’s Stokvel is an online book club focused on uplifting the voices and work of black writers and writers of colour in Calgary and the larger black diaspora. Her own work also deals with issues of Diasporan guilt, blackness, womanhood and intergenerational trauma. A combination of personal experiences and education has inspired a long, difficult but rewarding exploration of the possibility of healing through literature.

Meghan Goguen started her career following a classical trajectory in voice performance. After completing a Masters of Music in voice performance and literature at Western University, She returned to her hometown of Calgary, where she has since worked in a number of artistic capacities. From Event Manager for Cowtown Opera Company (2018-2019), to Program Assistant for Prairie Debut (2018-present), Goguen has amassed contacts and skills abound, and has spun straw into gold with her budding career. She is currently working as the General Manager at Luminous Voices.

Tania Gigliotti has been working in the arts for nearly 20 years. She has been teaching belly dance at various studios throughout the city since 2008, and has managed a variety of different dance productions, both at the student and professional level, since 2009.  She has been working in children’s books since 2005 when she began work at Greenwoods’ Small World. In 2019, launched and became Executive Director of Drawn to Books, a non-profit that continues to help kids find and create comics and she is currently completing her diploma in Arts & Cultural Management at MacEwan University.

Jenna Kerekes is a second-year Arts and Cultural Management student at MacEwan University and is majoring in Fine Arts and Communications. She loves musical theatre and hopes to one day be a part of the thriving arts scene in Edmonton. Her favourite pastime includes cuddling with her cat and reading a good book.
